The Los Angeles Blades are celebrating their 20th, YES, 20th Anniversary in 2005.

Blades Hockey Team
LA Blades at the 2005 Skate Party

The Blades were established in 1985 as the very first openly gay and lesbian Ice Hockey Club in the United States.

Currently, the Los Angeles Blades are fielding two teams, a beginer/novice level team, and an intermediate level team.

The Blades have a long and solid tradition of winning in their league, at tournaments, and in the Gay Games in Vancouver, New York, Amsterdam, and Australia.

We are a very active organization playing two games weekly, hosting a yearly tournament and fund raising parties and having team meetings and other social events.
